This May Help

This is worth thinking about.

Can’t say it’s words I made up though, 

comes from a man much smarter than me.

“When nothing seems to help, I go back and look

Usually I’m not one for quotes and stuff these days.

Used to love em

used to eat em up.

Until I realised that just reading and sprouting them didn’t do anything.

It just made me sound like everyone else who speaks a lot of shit without doing anything about it.

But this one is a winner and worth sharing with you.

Cause it might explain exactly where you may be now.

Anyways, the quote is from Jacob Riis, a19th-century Danish immigrant to the U.S.

He was a journo, author, and considered one of the pioneers of photography among other things.

I love it cause it helps sink in where we may be as I already said.

Cause we all know, especially if there’s a few kgs that need to be shifted from the belly,
that one day of healthy eating doesn’t seemingly make a difference to the end result.

I mean we don’t exactly loose 5kg after that one day right?

And it can get frustrating at times.

Cause it seems that that bitch next to you can eat whatever she wants and not put on an inch,

when for you it seems you only have to look at some foods and the weight stacks on.

And we gotta do this eating right thing over and over again just to see the scales shift and the clothes get that little bit looser.

So hopefully, this may help you if you currently feel like you’re banging your head against a brick wall when it comes to making progress.

OR lack-there-of.

You see, as in life, losing weight or anything, ain’t all flowers and smooth sailing.

There’s ups.

And there’s downs.

Sometimes the downs can feel like they drain out the ups.

And they often do.

But remember this.

The stonecutter doesn’t split that rock with one blow.

Just like you won’t make all the progress just by doing one solid week of workouts,

Or expect to drop a few kgs just because you’ve strung a couple of good days together.

It’s all part of the process.

And it can be a long journey.

Just stay the course.

And keep striking that rock.

One blow at a time.
